I am absolutely delighted and incredibly proud to share some fantastic news with our whole school community.
Our school has officially been named School of the Year in recognition of the work we do to support our young carers!
This award is a huge honour for everyone at our school. Young carers are extraordinary children who, outside of school hours, help look after family members who have disabilities, long-term illnesses, mental health conditions, or additional needs. Balancing home responsibilities with school life requires immense resilience, compassion, and strength.
As a school team, our goal has always been to ensure that every young carer feels seen, heard, and supported every single day. Whether through our dedicated support groups, flexible learning arrangements, or simply providing a safe, understanding space to talk, we are deeply committed to making sure no child faces these responsibilities alone.

Winning this title is a wonderful milestone, but our work does not stop here. We will continue to build on our programmes, raise awareness, and ensure our school remains a safe haven for every pupil.
